Mrs. Martha Whitehurst Taylor, 83, died Tuesday, March 1, 1988.
She was born in Georgetown, Texas and lived in Clovis from 1940 to 1966. Since that time, she had made her home at Logan.
She was a member of the Logan Baptist Church, Logan Senior Citizens, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxilliary No. 3245.
Survivors include two daughters, Gearldean Wilkerson, Portales and LaHonda Carter, Clovis; three sons, Tom C. Whitehurst, Dalhart; A.R. Whitehurst, Amarillo and Joe H. Whitehurst, Albuquerque; 18 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted in Logan Baptist Church, Friday, March 4, 1988 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Bob Reed, minister, officiating. Mrs. Whitehurst's grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Burial will be in Portales Cemetery at 3:30 p.m.
The family suggests that those who wish may make memorials to the FOE Heart Fund, 908 E. 2nd, Portables.
