Son of Jesse Mynatte Gore and Mary Isabella Herrin. Husband of Dorothy Gene "Dot" Waddell.
Funeral services for the Rev. Ganus Gore, 69, of Route 3, Cottondale, who died Thursday at DCH Regional Medical Center, will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Memory Chapel Funeral Home. The Revs. Jim Allred and Ivan Trussler will officiate with Masonic graveside rites at Tuscaloosa Memorial Park.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Jean Waddell Gore, Cottondale; a daughter, Sylvia Gore Rouse, Cottondale; a brother, Mack Gore, Bowling Green, Ky.; a stepbrother, Floyd Herren, Cottondale; a sister, Suzie Kyzer, Montgomery; three granddaughters and other relatives.
Pallbearers will be Richard Rouse, R.C. Kyzer Jr., Joe Warren, Grover Faulkner, Jeff Waddell and Marvin Clement.
He was a pastor in the United Methodist Church for 37 years, was a retired employee of BF Goodrich, a member of the Rising Virtue Masonic Lodge No. 4 of Tuscaloosa and member of Adelia Chapter No. 406 OES of Brookwood.
