Jesse Mynatte Gore, 79, of Cottondale, Rt. 2, died Monday in Druid City Hospital. A native of St. Clair County, he had lived here 57 years.
Funeral services will be held from Andrews Chapel Methodist Church at 11 a.m. Thursdays with burial to follow in the Old Salem Cemetery.
Gore is survived by his wife, Mrs. Pearl Gore of Cottondale; a son, The Rev. Ganus N. Gore of Tuscaloosa; two daughters, Mrs. Sarah Warren of Chicago, Ill., and Mrs. Susie Kyzer of Montgomery; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Saby Roycroft of Bellville, N.J.; a stepson, Floyd Herren of Cottondale; eight grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Active pallbearers will be Robin Herren, Michael Herren, R.C. Kyzer, Jr., Thomas Scales, Truman Goins and Emmett E. Kyzer.
