Joanne G. Russell, 77 Sauk Rapids July 25, 1936 - Sept. 6, 2013 Mass of Christian Burial will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sauk Rapids for Joanne G. Russell, age 77, who passed away Friday at Country Manor Health Care Center, Sartell. Rev. Ronald Weyrens will officiate and burial will be in the parish cemetery. Joanne was born July 25, 1936 in Hartland, WI to Henry & Ruth (Gerbensky) Clark. She married Richard Russell on June 2, 1956 in Reno, NV and the marriage was blessed at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in 1981. Joanne was a homemaker and also worked as a hairdresser, waitress, and taught religion at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Daughters of Isabella. Joanne enjoyed playing bingo, gardening, hunting, cooking wild game, sewing and traveling. She was a family oriented, strong willed, genuine, selfless person who was "Mom" to everyone.Survivors include her sons and daughters, Jim (Donna) of Rice, Anthony (Lori) of St. Cloud, Mary Jo (Mark) Zwilling of Foley, John of Sauk Rapids, and Roxanne of St. Paul; sisters, Patricia Delsman of Slinger, WI and Jeannette Williams of Waukesha, WI; grandchildren, Jennifer, Megan, Ryan, Tyler, Joshua, and John Russell, Christopher (Lorri) and Cory (Heather) Ley, and Katrina Zwilling; and great grandchildren, Jake and Kaylee Ley. Joanne was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard; step-mother, Antionette; sister, Margaret Loss; and brother, Charles Clark.
