Homer Vaughn Brinson

Vaughn Brinson, age 87 of Carrollton, passed away Friday, November 3, 2017, in Carrollton.
He was born September 18, 1930 in Eldorado, Arkansas to Homer Lee Brinson and Anna Mae Wright Brinson. Vaughn married Ruth Elaine Brazeel on April 12, 1952 in Graham, Texas. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Vaughn was self-employed and a small business entrepreneur most of his life. Through the variety of different successful businesses he owned, his favorite was radio station KERB 600 am in Kermit, Texas. Through this venture he was able to play the piano he loved with the likes of Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Roy Orbison and Buddy Holly.
Vaughn is survived by his wife, Ruth; children, Randall Vaughn Brinson and Cerelle Elaine Kuecker; four grandchildren Ryan Brinson, Taylor Brinson, Lauren Allen, Cody Kuecker and brother, Dolan Artwell Brinson of Rochester, Texas. He was preceded in death by his sister, Relda Mae Sale.
A service to celebrate Vaughn's life will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 8, 2017, at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville. Interment will follow at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery with military honors.
