James Gibson Traynham

Mr. James G Traynham of Broxton, died Sunday February 23, 1958 in the Douglas-Coffee County Hospital after an illness of 10 days. Mr. Traynham, 67, was a popular member of the Douglas Motor Company staff, where he served as Sales Supervisor. He was a veteran of World War I. Funeral Services were held Monday at the Broxton Methodist Church of which he was a member. Rev. Jarvis Ellis, pastor, was assisted by Rev. Wade Ward. A solo was given by Rev. Clark Pafford. Survivors are his wife, the former Eddie Louise Greer of Broxton, 2 daughters: Mrs. john Raper of Dayton, Ohio and Mrs. Ellick Bullington of Arlington, Ga, 1 son; James G Traynham, Jr of Baton Rouge, La, 2 brothers: C.J. Traynham of Douglas, Clomer Traynham of Tampa, Fla, 3 sisters: Mrs. Tom Thurman of Broxton, Mrs. Boyce Thurman of Douglas, and Mrs. Bill Irby of Ocala, Fla and 6 grandchildren. Sims Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
