Mr. Jos. F. Greer, son of Mr. and Mrs. N. C. Greer of Tifton, died in New York City Monday night at 7 o'clock.
Mr Greer had been in bad health all the summer, suffering from a stomach trouble, and went to New York for treatment a few weeks ago.
His remains will be brought to Tifton for burial, and are expected tonight or tomorrow.
For several years, Mr. Greer was engaged in the hardware business in Tifton, but for some time past has been in Florida, engaged in timber trade. He was taken ill last April and spent the summer months in a hospital in Atlanta.
Besides his parents, he leaves four brothers, Editor John W. Greer, of Waycross, L. P. Greer of Tifton, R. A. Greer, of Broxton and E. P. Greer of Jacksonville; three sisters, Mrs. W. E. Futch of Cleveland, O; Mrs. H. H. Yancey, of Jacksonville, Fla; and Mrs. J. W. Prince of Sessoms.
