Al Smith, 64, of Dumas, died Tuesday, August 25, 2015.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 29, 2015 in Dumas Cemetery with Damon Akins officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors of Dumas, 500 N. Maddox Ave.
Al was born on April 23, 1951 in El Paso to Duane A. Smith Sr. and Este Lee Alexander Smith. He had worked in several refineries throughout his career. His special interests included gold mining, rock hounding, and traveling. His greatest enjoyment was taking care of his girls. Al was a member of the First Assembly of God.
He is survived by his wife, Stephnie L. Smith of Dumas; a daughter, Dawn Denise Graves of Amarillo; his step-mother, Thelma Smith of Dumas; a sister, Terry Macomber of Dumas; a step-sister, Sherri Hutchison of St. Louis; two step-brothers, Ron Hutchison of Longview and Scott Hutchison of Lubbock; and three grandchildren, Taylor Payge McMillian of Dumas, Genesys Alyiah McMillian of Dumas, and Isaac Ian Williams of Amarillo.
