Bobby Joe McKee passed away Tuesday September 11, 2018 at his residence in Pheba at the age of 66. He was born September 26, 1951 in West Point to the late Helen Marie Kuykendall and Thurman McKee. He retired from TVA as a lineman then worked in the logging business for many years.
Funeral services will be Friday September 14, 2018 at 2 PM at Pheba Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Rhodes officiating. Burial will follow in Pheba Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Lane McKee, Bo McKee, Ashley Hodges, Brent Miles, Wade Miles, Preston McKee, Ryan Moore, Brock Carter, Jay McKee, Jamie McKee, Chris McKee. Honorary pallbearers will be all his many friends and family members. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Thursday at Pheba Baptist Church. The body will lie in state 1 hour before service time Friday at the church.
He is survived by his wife, Jan McKee of Pheba; son, Lane McKee (Lisa) of Pheba; daughter, Stephnie Smith (Cass) of Maben; brothers, Jimmy McKee (Stacy), Curtis McKee (Melissa), Steve McKee, all of Pheba; sisters, Margie Dean Hodges of Mathiston, Diane Miles (Ian) of Maben, Vickie Moore of Montpelier, Martha Gail Stafford (Lewis) of West Point; 2 grandchildren, Robyn Parker, Hallie Griffis; host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Donnie Wayne McKee.
