Bryan Legare Walpole, Jr., 84, of Johns Island, South Carolina, husband of Aileen Samford Walpole died Wednesday, April 19, 2017.
His Funeral Service will be held Saturday, April 22, 2017 in the Rockville Presbyterian Church at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in J. HENRY STUHR, INC. DOWNTOWN CHAPEL.
Legare was born January 26, 1933 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of the late Bryan Legare Walpole and Lila Hills Walpole. He was a graduate of Clemson University and served in the U.S. Army.
Legare is survived by his wife of 51 years; son, Bryan Legare Walpole III (Anne Becknell) of James Island, SC; daughter, Aileen Walpole Halford (Spencer) of Johns Island, SC; four grandchildren: Julia Lofton Walpole, Bryan Legare Walpole IV, Spencer Jaudon Halford and Eliza Drake Halford. He was preceded in death by his son, Thomas Samford Walpole.
