Funeral rites for Mrs. Anna Mae SMITH were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, September 12, at Bowell Brothers Chapel.
Mrs. SMITH, the widow of Joe F. SMITH who died August 1 in Perryton, passed away at 7:45 p.m. Saturday at her home, 22 South indiana.
Mr and Mr. SMITH had moved to Perryton only three months ago to be near their children because of the parents' Illnesses.
Mrs. SMITH was 62 years old, having been born March 26, 1904, at Blum, Texas.
Officiating at her rites was Rev. Dale Pruett, educational director at the First Baptist Church.
Internment was in Ochiltree Cemetery, directed by Boxwell Brothers.
Serving as pallbearers were Travis BAKER, Jim BAKER, Thad JONES, Paul MUSGRAVE, Tom KIRKPATRICK, and Bill KIRKPATRICK.
Surviving Mrs. SMITH are one daughter, Mrs. Sam (Sue) RILEY of Perryton: two sons, Joe Thomas SMITH of Perryton and Jack Van COODY of Palestine; one brother, Walter KIRKPATRICK of Kennedale; two sisters, Mrs. Loveta UPTON of Pampa, and Mrs. H.E. (Lois) MOSES of Wichita Falls; six grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
