Memorial rites for Joe F. SMITH, who died early Monday morning were conducted at 11 a. m. Wednesday, August 3, in Boxwell Brothers Chapel.
Mr. SMITH died in his trailer home, parked behind the home of his step-daughter, Mrs. Sam RILEY at 22 South Indiana.
A retired construction worker, he lived in Perryton only two weeks.
Mr. SMITH was born February 22, 1898, at Lone Oak, Texas.
Officiating at the services were Rev. Edgar Jones, pastor of the First Baptist Church. Boxwell Brothers directed interment in Ochiltree cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were Travis Baker, Jim Baker, Thad Jones,Samuel Riley, Paul Musgrage and Harold Brown.
Mr. SMITH is survived by his wife, Annie Mae SMITH of Perryton; the step-daughter, Mrs. Samuel RILEY of Perryton; a stepson, Jack Van COODY of Palestine; a son, Joe Thomas SMITH of Riverton, Wyo., and six grandchildren.
