Nancy Jane "Cricket" Hollis Lee was the fourteenth and final child of Siamon Samuel Hollis and Frances Ella Mericle Hollis. She was born September 28, 1911 in Trevat, Texas. The nickname Cricket was bestowed on her by her older brothers who remarked that their small, premature sister looked like a cricket. She married John Edward Lee on October 29, 1927. She was especially close to her mother since she was the baby and her mother often lived with her after she married. Nancy and John had nine children: Bobbie J., Cole Edward, Mavis Frances, Shirley Louise, Lillian Jane, William Siamon, Wilna Jolene, Violet Lynn and Bennie Dean. Cricket was a very caring and kind Christian lady. She was well loved and very popular with all her many family members, everyone always wanted to go to Cricket's. She died January 6, 2001 in Lufkin, Texas.
