Julia Dee Kelso

Joint funeral services for Mrs. Leon (Julia) Langford and her daughter, Annette, were held Friday morning, June 1, at Farwell First Baptist Church with Rev. Cliff Ennen, pastor, and Rev. Richard Sutherland, pastor of Central Christian Church in Clovis, officiating. Burial was at Sunset Terrace Memorial Cemetery with Steed-Todd Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Langford and Annette were killed Wednesday afternoon, May 30, after their late model car and a Farwell Equipment Co. truck were involved in a wreck six miles north of the twin cities.
Mrs. Langford, 33, was born in Tulia on July 17, 1939. She married Leon Langford on June 9, 1956 in Bovina. She was a member of the Central Christian Church in Clovis. She was leader of Farwell 4-H club for more than 3 years and helped with the Parmer County 4-H program for a number of years. She is survived by her husband, Leon; a daughter, Jacquelyn; and a son Mac; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. H.H. Kelso of Bovina, and two brothers, Ferman Kelso of White Rock, NM and Tally Kelso of Sonora, Texas. She was preceded in death by one son, Russell.
Pallbearers for the services were Gilbert Kaltwasser, Paul Davis, Dean Boyd, Joe Helton, Noel Doughtery, A.M. Wilson, Roy Snodgrass, Glenn Kelley, Travis Dyer, Bill Stone, Loyd Snow and Ray Ford.
