Glorian Collins

Glorian was the daughter of Charles Collins and Addie Walker.
Her obituary states the following:
"Born March 29, 1887, in Beaumont, Kansas, a daughter of Charles and Addie Walker Collins, she moved with her famiy to a farm in the Town of Adams, which became known at the Collins and Bates Farm, Thomas Settlement.
She attended Union Academy, Belleville, and was graduated from Adams teachers training class in 1906. She taught 12 years in rural schools.
On Thanksgiving Day in 1936 she married D. Clinton Ivory.
The couple opened the Ivory Shoe Store in Adams.
He died in Jan. 10, 1940 at age 65.
She was a member of Alpha Rebekah Lodge, Adams, and twice served as district deputy Rebekah president. She joined the Belleville OES in 1945 and became district deputy grand matron in 1952. She was a member of the Adams United Methodist Church."
