Allen Mark Duke

Allen "Big Al" Duke, 26, 1708 W. 11th St., died Saturday in Ball Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. A native and lifelong resident of the Muncie area, Mr. Duke was the son of Fred Duke and Gladys Clines Duke of Muncie.
He was employed as a route carrier for The Indianapolis News. Mr. Duke attended Pentecost Church of God. He also attended Southside High School, Wilson Middle School, and Forrest Park School.
Survivors include his mother Gladys May Dennie, Muncie; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard and Lori Duke, Muncie, and David and Jennifer Duke, Albany; a sister, Connie Duke, Muncie; his grandfather, Ernest W. Duke Sr., Muncie; two nephews, Danny and David Duke, and a niece, Amber Duke, all of Muncie; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Parson Mortuary-Adams Chapel. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory, north of Muncie. Calling is 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and before services Wednesday at the mortuary.
