Aaron Courtney Is Taken by Death Here Saturday at Age of 78
Aaron Courtney, 78, a resident of Wichita since 1881, died at his home at 2115 South Washington Saturday. He was a teamster when he first came to Wichita. He was born on December 1, 1866 in Lee county, Ia.
Surviving are his wife, Martha Emma, of the home; and a son, L. C. Courtney, also of the home address; three brothers, Nathan, in Oklahoma, Daniel, of Frederick, Kan., and Albert, of Wichita; two sisters, Mrs. Estelle Lynn, of Wichita, and Mrs. Inez Wylie, of Sumner county; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted from the Lahey mortuary chapel at 2 p.m. Monday, with Rev. Ira Cowell of the Church of God officiating. Burial will be in Highland cemetery.
