BIRTH: Lapeer County Courthouse records are incorrect. Two dates with different parents are given. Pioneer Families and History of Lapeer County
uses 1887. Also gives wife's name as Eva Donna Farrar.

WWI Draft registration states he was born 14 Nov, 1887 in Hadley. He was married and had one child. Self emplyed farmer. He suffered from the loss of one eye. He was of medium height, stout, with dark brown hair and dark brown eyes. The registrar was his own father William E. Ivory.

1920 Roy, wife and two baby daughters own a dairy farm. His father William Ivory owns the second farm over from Roy's. William's is a general farm.

1930 U.S. Census, Michigan, Lapeer City, page 202 April 2nd.Roy and his family (wife and two girls)rent on Clay Street in Lapeer City, Michigan. He is an insurance agent.

On 1 October 1913, Eva married ROY E. Ivory at the Baptist Church in Hadley, Michigan, by Pastor C.A. Ehrhardt. Roy was the only child of William E. Ivory and Cora B. (Fifield) Ivory, born 14 November 1887 in Hadley Twp., Lapeer Co., Michigan.
Roy's father operated the harness shop in Hadley and also the private bank of Travis & Hagle. In 1921, he became Secretary - Treasurer of the Farmers Mutual Fire Insurance Co. in Lapeer, Michigan.
Roy Ivory was a farmer all his life, having 80 acres in the NE1/4 of Sec.5,T6N,R9E in Hadley Twp.
On 30 October 1933, Roy died at the Lapeer General Hospital in Lapeer, Michigan and was buried 2 November 1933 at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Lapeer, Michigan.
