JACK EDWARD RICKS, SR., 77, passed away on Monday, January 14, 2002. He was a longtime resident of El Paso. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of WW II, and retired after 35 years of service from the El Paso Natural Gas Co.
Mr. Ricks is survived by his wife Betty Blanche Ricks; son, Jack Edward Ricks, Jr.; daughters Vicki Inns and husband C.W. and Marilyn Brooks; as well as two grandchildren, Anne and Diane; three great grandchildren, Jacob, Hunter, and Dylan; one step granddaughter Kathy; and two step great grandchildren, Andrew and Holdyn. He is also survived by sisters, Betty Myers and Francis Dawson; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 16, 2002 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home East. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 17, 2002 at 9:00 a.m. at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery with military honors. Honorary pallbearers are Harold Chesak, Jack Mitchell, Don Christian, Wayne Oakley, Billy Hampton, Bill Adams, and Kevin Scott. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice. Mr. Ricks will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.
