James Allen Petmecky (Allen), age 65, was taken to heaven on July 14, 2015.
Allen was born in Seward, Alaska, on February 26, 1950, to Howell F. Petmecky and Zelle Horton Petmecky.
Allen was quite a comedian, loved to laugh and to make others laugh. When he was 12, our family moved from Alaska back to Texas. Allen spent his teenage years on a ranch near Dripping Springs. He loved country life. After he graduated from high school in 1968, he joined the Navy. In 1971, he got out of the Navy and returned to the ranch in DS. After the ranch at DS was sold, he bought property near Del Rio, and lived there several years. He worked in Del Rio.
Allen is survived by his brother, Hal Joe Petmecky, his children Djo Petmecky; Chandelle Petmecky Crane; Sheila Petmecky Bradbury; Donnie, Jody, and Jeremy Petmecky; Heidi, Jake, and Bobby Petmecky. Also surviving him is his sister Sally Ruth Petmecky Taylor, her children Jared , Katie Valeria, Zachary, and Alexander Taylor, in addition to multiple in-laws, great nieces and nephews, and cousins.
