Jimmy (Jim)Dee Jones, 59, passed after cardiac surgery. He spent his early years working on ranches in Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas and Wyoming. He spent a brief time as a security guard, and then went on to work as an L.P.N. in Alaska and Evanston.
He married Lisa Marie Banning on December 22, 1999, in Juneau, Alaska. Shortly after, they packed up and headed to Evanston, where they lived until his death.
An avid hunter and fisherman, Jim spent as much time outdoors as possible. He enjoyed Wyoming's multitude of activities for outdoorsmen. Even in recent years, after a diagnosis of Diabetes and several heart attacks, Jim went hunting every year and was learning to train horses in hopes of hunting, camping and gold panning on horseback.
Preceded in death by his mother and his first wife, Jim is survived by his father, John Jones of Oklahoma; son Larry Jones, Daughter-in-law, Stacey, and granddaughter, Audrey, all of Texas; son, Chris Jones, daughter-in-law, Annette, and granddaughter, Crystal, all of Oklahoma; brother, John Jones of North Carolina; wife Lisa Banning Jones of Evanston; and "adopted" daughter, Athena Street-Morris, of Evanston; and numerous friends in evanston and around the world. Cremation has taken place.

Evanston, Wyo. - Former Duncan, Oklahoma resident JIMMY DEE JONES, 59, of Evanston, Wyo., died Friday, June 23, 2006, in Evanston.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday, June 30, in Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Ward II, Evanston. Burial will be in Evanston.
Jimmy was born May 3, 1947, in Duncan, to John Henry and Juanita Jones.
Survivors include his wife, Lisa Jones of Evanston; two sons, Christopher of Duncan, and Lawrence of Burkburnett, Texas; a daughter, Esther of St. Louis, Mo.; his father, John Henry Jones of Duncan; and a brother, John Jones of Raleigh, N.C.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Juanita Jones.
