Annie Bushby

There is a Memorial plaque on the headland as a tribute to those who fell during the Bombardment of Hartlepool. Annie Dowson Corner is named on the plaque following her death from "shock" as a result of the bombardment. This is called the Redheugh Gardens War Memorial, but no names are recorded on it.
