Joe Bob Floyd

Third Class Pharmacist's Mate Joe Bob Floyd, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bob Floyd of 2310 Hudspeth, will be reburied Thursday in Grove Hill Memorial Park.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Thursday at Sparkman-Brand Funeral Chapel, 2115 Ross.
Floyd, 21, was killed in action on Okinawa June 17, 1945. He was attached to the 1st Marine Division at the time.
He graduated from Forest High School in 1942 and immediately joined the Navy. After training at San Diego, he was sent to the South Pacific.
Also surviving are two brothers, Billy Floyd and Ray Dean Floyd, both of Dallas.
Pallbearers will be Harold Jones, Billy Brinker, Edwin Ford, Leo Stewart, Carol Cooley, and Oscar Bradley.
