Sarah Jane Dowd

Sarah's father died in 1834. By 1840 she, her two sisters, Mary and Fidelia, and probably her mother, were living in her married sister, Electa Potter's household in Elba, Lapeer County, Michigan. In 1847 she married William Ivory. By December 1 of that year they lived in Williamstown, Dodge County, Wisconsin. Her brother Alanson and his family also lived in Dodge County but at Beaver Dam. In 1850 she, William and two little boys were still at Williamstown. But by 1853 they do not appear on the Wisconsin State Census. By then they are living at Hadley, Lapeer County, Michigan.
