Modified: 4 January 2020 by barrywood1Reason: I can find no evidence that the wife of John Brooke / Brooks of Manchester, Lancs. was born in Norwich, which is a very long hike from Manchester. If the FamilySearch staff had a source for that proposition, they should have cited it. Since the Wharmby family is ancient and numerous in Manchester, I will assume that Alice was born there. The parish register pre-1570 is not extant, so there is no christening record for her there, however.
