Service for Mary Lee Moore, 89, 1023 N. Alameda St., is to be held Thursday at 10 a.m. in the First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Gene Harbaugh officiating. Burial is to be in Carlsbad Cemetery.
Mrs. Moore died Sunday in McAllen, Texas.
Pallbearers are to be Ed Dunagan, Mertin Reams, Billy Reckley, Bill Michelson, Leonard Payne, Lee Prichard and Tommy Dresser.
Mrs. Moore was born in Carlsbad on April 4, 1901, and graduated from Carlsbad High School. She attended Northwestern University of Illinois for two years and married the late Howard L. Moore Sr., in Carlsbad in 1921. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, PEO Sisterhood, Eastern Star Chapter 54, the Woman's Club and the Tuesday Book Club.
Survivors include one son, Howard L. Moore, Jr., Lakeland, Fla.; one daughter, Mary Jean Calvert, McAllen, Texas; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
West Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
