Donald Ray Lytle

Don Lytle, 29, died Sunday afternoon in a Wichita, Kansas hospital of head and internal injuries suffered one week earlier in a stock car race. Lytle, a veteran race driver who recently moved to Culbertson, was involved in a four-car crash in the National Jalopy Races in Hutchinson, Kansas. His seat belt broke in the collision.
He was born at McCook on June 12, 1932 and was employed as a plasterer at the time of his death.
Survivors are his wife, Joan; three sons, aged 8 and 2 years and 7 months; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Lytle of McCook; and two brothers, Glen and Jack.
Funeral services were held this (Thursday) morning at Memorial Methodist church in McCook, with the Rev. Adrian Edgar officiating. Burial was made in Memorial Park cemetery.
