Mrs. Elnora (Collins) Moffett, age 87 of Dodson, Louisiana passed away on Thursday, May 07, 2020.
Born July 28 1932 in Winn Parish, Louisiana to the union of George Washington Collins and Jammie Gladis Collins, she was a Mother, Grand Mother, Great-Grand Mother and Great-Great Grand Mother. She worked various jobs over her life time, working at Martin Hospital as an aid and a cook, a sales clerk at Gibson’s Department Store and as a seamstress with Vasseret Manufacturing and Jonesboro Manufacturing. She had many things she loved to do, but spending time with her family and friends was tops on her list.
Mrs. Moffett was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Leon Moffett; brothers, JR Collins and David Collins; sisters, Sadie Collins and Sheron Collins Tingle; son-in-law, Edward L. "Butch" Hendley; daughter-in-law, Shelia Gail Wise Moffett.
Those left to cherish his memory include sons, James Raymond Moffett (Sheila) of Bastrop, Robert Waynon Moffett of Dodson and George Hubbard Moffett of Dodson; daughters, Lenora Lynn Hendley of Dodson, Lynda Joyce Robertson (Gary) of Dodson and Lisa Timmons of Dry Prong; brother, Richard Frankling Collins (Lyn) of Orcal, AZ; sisters, Georgie Ann Collins Moffett of Jena and Carylon Collins McCullom of Ferriday; 16 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at Cypress Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Nick Verett officiating.
Interment will follow in Cypress Creek Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.
