Amelia Brown

Amelia Brown Wilson was the 1st wife of James Wilson, The Elder of the Kings Creek ARP Church. Amelia migrated to Newberry from North Carolina (maybe Surry County, NC) ca 1800 with her father William Brown and Sarah LNU (others say Mathis) and lived off of Kings Creek where James Wilson and extended family were living. She had a brother named Thomas Beech/Beach Brown and she named one of her children
Thomas Beech/Beach Wilson. Thomas Beech/Beach was an ancestor (great uncle) of Amelia Brown. James and Amelia may have had as many as eight children prior to her death. Maybe someone there in Newberry, SC knows why she died so young. She may have died in childbirth like so many women did or maybe yellow fever or one of the other fevers that was going around.Sometime after Amelia's death, James Wilson married his 2nd wife Mary Connor and had at least six more children. Amelia had a son John Wilson and James R. Wilson. There were 2 females born between 1810 and 1819 that are not accounted for.
The father of William Brown is James Brown had his mother is Lydia Beech/Beach. Thomas Beech/Beach was the brother of Lydia.
