Margaret J. Brown

Margaret J. McCrea, 59, a member of a Klamath Basin pioneer family, died near her Crystal Creek Ranch home Sunday.
Mr. Mcrea was born Feb. 1, 1920, in Tacoma, Wash.
She lived in the Klamath Basin, mainly the Crystal Creek area between Rocky Point and Fort Klamath nearly all her life. Her grandfather was Daniel Gilbert Brown, who homesteaded in the Crystal Creek in 1892.
Mrs. McCrea was married June 3, 1939 to Maurice McCrea, who survives, in Vancouver, Wash. The couple lived on the Crystal Creek Ranch. Although ranch activities and her family occupied most of her time, she was a member of the Nile Street Church of Christ.
Survivors include the widower; mother, Alice Brown, Klamath Falls; sons, Michael and Jerry, both Portland, Robert, Bonner's Ferry, Idaho, and John, Bend; sisters, Virginia Baker, Stockton, Calif., and Jospehine Lyon, Merrill; brother, William Brown, Klamath Falls; and eight grandchildren.
