Henry Dillingham

(24 Jan 1795 - 30 Jan 1850)

Henry Dillingham, the bold express rider from Bloomingville

Continued potential misinformation about this line from Edward and Hannah (Sukey) Ambrose is unfortunate, but understandable. Caveats really need to be placed on any research containing this link that it appears to be based on little more than an association with Rhode Island as John Dillingham of Valparaiso's place of birth. There is a more likely 'candidate' but in the absence of any proof, that is what he also remains. So far, no one has produced the copy of Edward's will as far as I am aware, which might help to clear up at least part of the mystery of our enigma, John Dillingham of Valparaiso, once and for all. Dave, I agree fully with you in that people continue to repeat errors. Unfortunately, with the internet's growing popularity, is it becoming easier and quicker to keep passing on previous errors. My research is solely on the PAGE line. I apologize for picking up previous errors on the DILLINGHAM line and continuing them. I have removed parents for Henry Dillingham from my database.
