SPARTANBURG, SC-- Linda JoAnn Greer Fortner, 30, of 260 Thompson Chapel Road, died Sunday, February 22, 2009, at Mary Black Memorial Hospital. Born April 11, 1978, in Easley, SC, she was the daughter of Joe Glenn and Linda Faye Kelley Greer. A graduate of Broome High School, she attended Spartanburg Technical College. She was a full-time loving and attentive mother and of the Christian faith.
Survivors include two daughters, Lynda Danielle Lemmons of Spartanburg, and LilyAnn Lee Fortner of Pauline, SC; a son, Chaunce Devon Edwards of Spartanburg; three sisters, Allison Staton and Susan Wells, both of Pelzer, SC, and Sheila Greer of Spartanburg; four nephews, Cody Greer, Joseph Young, Nathan Staton, and Simon Essenwanger; two nieces, Victoria Wells and Jordan Staton; and her grandparents, Joseph Glenn Greer and Betty Greer. She was predeceased by her grandmother, Reva Lucille Shelton.
Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, February 25, 2009, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, February 26, 2009, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel conducted by the Rev. Eddie Hardee and the Rev. Terry Wilson. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
