Herman Houston Greenhaw Sr.

Mr. Herman H. Greenhaw, age 91, of Boerne, TX, passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2001 in a San Antonio hospital. He was born September 11, 1909 in Indianahoma, OK and had been a Boerne resident for one year, formerly residing in the Kerrville area for 25 years. He was retired from the Internal Revenue Service where he served in the Estate and Gift Tax Division. He served as a Major in the 610th Tank Division under General Patton in the U.S. Army in World War II. He was awarded the Purple Heart. He was a member of Sunrise Baptist Church where he was active in the church and mission work. He also was an attorney and a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association. Survivors are three daughters, Dr. Gisele Arlie Greenhaw, M.D. of Houston, TX, Sheryl Earlene Garton of Boerne, TX and Theresa Loree Brown of Wichita, KS; one son, Dr. H. Houston Greenhaw, Jr. of Recife, Brazil; sister, Ora Mae Thompson of Modesto, CA; brother, Buford Greenhaw of Midwest City, OK, eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2001 at 2:00 P.M. at Sunrise Baptist Church with Dr. Phil Tilden officiating. Interment will follow in Glen Rest Cemetery. Those who desire may make memorial contributions to Sunrise Baptist Church.
