Ruth Emaline "Kim" Anderson

"Kim" Ruth Emaline Anderson died on June 1, 2014 in her home in Stillwater, Oklahoma after a short battle with cancer. She was surrounded by family. She was born on March 23, 1939 to Henry Rayson and Mary Ann Anderson in Wetumka, Oklahoma. She graduated from Ada High School in 1958. She moved to Oklahoma City to attend business College and later became a Stewardess with American Airlines for two years. She worked in the oil and gas industry for the next 30 years until she retired in 2007 from IHS. As a member of the Oklahoma City Kiwi Club (former American Airlines Flight Attendants), she was the President and V.P. Chairman of Charity Art Auctions for six years. These auctions benefited such groups as Jesus House, Baptist Burn Center, Big Brothers and Sisters of OKC and many others. While working with Kerr-McGee she volunteered for a variety of city wide charities.
She was an artist herself and enjoyed collecting art. She enjoyed watching Thoroughbred racing and spent many fun hours with her friends studying bloodlines and racing statistics. She was a big Sooner Fan and watched the OKC Thunder right up to the very last game. She loved her family and was a good friend to many. She was an avid "weather watcher" and always kept the family updated when there were serious weather conditions, she wanted to know we were aware and safe. She did not have any children but always referred to Laura Ann and Pamela Helen as "her girls." She had a collection of angels and always believed God put special angels in her life at just the right times.
She was proceeded in death by her father Henry and mother Mary Ann Anderson and her Sister Lou Ann McGuire. She is survived by her niece Laura and husband Michael Clark of Stillwater, Oklahoma their children Marla and her husband Justin Barnard of Lubbock, Texas, Joshua and his wife Lauren Clark of Kansas City Missouri and Robyn and her husband Paul Bain of Houston. Her niece Pamela and her husband Eric Estes of Fayetteville Arkansas, their children Stephanie and her husband Justin Roach of Fayetteville, Christopher Estes and Ryan Estes both of Fayetteville. She also had 6 great, great nephews Jonah, River, Shepherd Solomon, Silas and Joshua and one great, great niece Anna. Also surviving is her brother in law James McGuire of Crescent, OK, her Uncle Daniel and Aunt Virleene Boone of Sun City, California, their children Debbie and her husband Gary Sinay of Escondido, California, Daniel Boone Jr and his wife Susan of Ft. Smith Arkansas, Paul Boone of Escondido, California and Brenda Boone of Cardiff, California and many, many cousins and lifelong friends. She will be truly missed by many.
Funeral services will be at 11:00am on June 5, 2014 at First Baptist Church in Crescent Oklahoma and directed by the Abernathy/Aaron Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Crescent Cemetery.
