David Floyd Klein

(28 May 1946 - 27 Nov 2008)

Former Worland resident David Floyd Klein, 62, peacefully passed away at his mother's home in Phoenix, Ariz. on Nov. 27, 2008 after battling cancer.
He was born May 28, 1946 in Billings, Mont. to Floyd Victor and Mereen (Holbrook) Klein. He was raised on a farm just south of Worland and attended schools in Worland.
Following his schooling, he worked at Holly Sugar during campaigns and in the oilfield during the summers. His oilfield work then took him to North Dakota for many years. He recently moved to Phoenix to be near his mother and daughter.
He was an avid motorcyclist who loved to build his own bikes. He was a member of the Williston Basin Riders and the Rough Riders Motorcycle Club in North Dakota. David worked every year on the Williston Basin Rider's Annual Toy run to collect donations of toys and money for impoverished families.

He loved adventure, a passion that was manifested in a full life that was lived in many parts of the country, resulting in friends from coast to coast. His big heart and adventurous spirit will be remembered and missed by all who knew him.
David is survived by his mother Mereen Klein of Phoenix; his son Asa Klein of Houston, Texas; his daughters Michelle Brockaway of Livingston, Mont. and Niki Mercy of Phoenix; and his grandchildren Mazzelyn Klein, Baylin Mercy and Gunner Mercy.
Burial of the ashes will take place during a graveside memorial service at Riverview Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Worland.
