Edna Rose was born in Tower River, OK. According to her Social Security record when she died, her name was Edna Carter Tracey. I have not found any records yet to confirm that. Census records of 1920 show that Edna Rose and her parents, Edward and Rose Carter, were living in Yellowstone, WY. By the time of the 1930 census, her parents had divorced and she and her mother were living in Sheridan, WY. When information for the 1940 census was being taken, she was still living with her mother in Sheridan. She married William Verden, Jr. on July 19, 1940, in Carbon, Montana. They divorced, and he remarried in 1947.
