ANDERSON -- Jones Franklin Greer, 69, of 213 Ellen St. died Monday, May 16, 2005, at Anderson Area Medical Center
Born in Anderson, he served in the U.S. Air Force and was a land developer and was in the automobile business.
He was a Baptist.
Surviving are widow, Rosemary B. Greer of the home; daughters, Tonia G. Burriss of Anderson, Frankie G. Powell of Anderson and Susanne G. Holbrooks of Abbeville; sons, Jones F. Greer Jr. and Joseph W. Greer, both of Anderson; mother Georgia Ellen Burton Russell of Anderson; brothers, Dallas B. Greer, William W. Greer and Larry E. Greer, all of Anderson, and John L. Greer of Georgia; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was the son of the late William Dallas Greer and was preceded in death by a sister Linda L. Greer.
Services are at 11 a.m. Thursday at Sullivan-King Mortuary, Downtown Chapel, by Dr. Ron Culbertson. Burial will be in South Lawn Memorial Gardens. The body is at the downtown chapel, 401 North Main St., where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The family is at the home of a daughter, Susanne G. Holbrooks, 248 Diamond Hill Shores, Lake Session, Abbeville.
