Waymond E. Mosley

Waymond E. "Pop" Mosley, 91, of Hollandale, died Saturday, April 6, 2013, at Bolivar Medical Center, Cleveland. Burial will be at Hollandale Cemetery. Boone Funeral Home, Leland, is in charge of arrangements.

"Pop" Mosley was born in Thomasville, Ala., and moved to Washington County at an early age where he attended the Arcola public schools. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard and later in the U.S. Army during WWII. He returned to Washington County after being discharged and engaged in farming and later as a truck driver for the gas company. He was an active member and deacon in the Hollandale Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Estelle McDonald Mosley in 2006 after 63 years of marriage; and one granddaughter, Robin Mosley Gee, also in 2006.
