Mr. Kessler was born April 16, 1932 in Jacksboro and had lived in Electra for the past five years moving here from California. He married Wanda Peters March 8, 1952 in Lawton, Okla.
He was a member of Southside Church of Christ and was employed as an oil and gas broker.
Survivors include: his wife, Wanda, of Electra; two sons, Earl Lee Kessler III and Marvin Richardson both of Electra; a daughter, Darla Diane Thacker of Electra; his father, Earl Lee Kessler Sr., of Broken Arrow, Okla.; his mother and step-father, Mr. and Mrs, G.R. Kuykendall of Jacksboro; two sisters, Shirley Stein of Santa Maria, Calif., and Ramona Brooks of La Crescenta, Calif.; one grandson.
Pallbearers were: Billy Rodgers. Frankie Nelson, Tom Daughtery, Clifford Jones, Bob Moore and Ogden Strange.
