Ronald F. Laing, 55, of Harrison, died Thursday, Sept. 28, 1995 at Mercy Hospital in Grayling. Born May 14, 1940 in Oakland County, he worked as a mechanical inspector for the state. Mr. Laing was also a veteran and served in the U.S. Air Force from 1957 to 1961. He married the former Barbara Jane Dec. 31, 1959 in Waterford and she preceded him in death Oct. 18, 1985. He then married the former Mary Joan Campbell May 30, 1987 in Harrison.

Besides his wife, he is survived by 3 sons, Daniel and wife Mary Kay of Ithaca; Ron and wife Karen of Kalkaska. and David and wife Suzanne of Watkinsville. Ga.; his mother, Pauline Laing of Kalkaska; 7 stepchildren, Keith and Kathy Campbell of Kalkaska, Mark and Yvette Campbell of St. Clair, Blaine and Camille Campbell of Anchorage, Alaska, Eric Campbell of Traverse City, Stephanie and Barry Havens of Interlochen, and Anita and Edward Wiltse of Portage, Ind.; one sister, Barbara Robins of Millersburg; 3 grandchildren; and 12 stepgrandchildren.

Services were held at noon Monday from the Sisson Funeral Home in Gladwin with the Rev. Robert Marshall officiating. Burial was in the Sacred Heart Cemetery. Gladwin. Memorials may be made to the Leukemia Society. Gladwin County Record dated 10-4/1995 Column – 4 Page – 2.
