Emil Day Daniel
(4 Jan 1923 - 7 Feb 1989)
Mr. Daniel was born to Homer and Ada Daniel in Hamilton, Mississippi.
When 17 years old, he entered the civilian Conservation Corps, serving in the western states.
At the outbreak of World War II, he became a member of the Marine Corps. He served in the South Pacific and was honorably discharged at the end of the war.
Mr. Daniel moved to Texas, where he was married Oct. 5, 1946, to Essie Vaden. They moved to Klamath Falls in 1947 and he worked for several lumber mills.
In 1960, they moved to Arkansas, returning to Klamath Falls in 1961. He worked for Thomas Lumber Co. and Jeld-Wen Inc. until his retirement in 1986.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Essie, Klamath Falls; sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Theresa Daniel, Merrill, Jon and ele Krauss, Moosup, Conn.; daughters and sons-in-law, Holly and Javier Cobain, Klamath Falls, and Janel and Dennis Costello, Keno; sister, Ferrell Patton, Columbus, Miss.; sister and brother-in-law, Sarah and O'Neil Moseley, Klamath Falls; grandchildren, Mario and Daniel Cobain and Tessie and Kacy Daniel, all Klamath Falls and Sharon and Jon Krauss Jr., both Moosup.
