Walter James Moore, 83, of Soda Springs, passed away Saturday, May 22, 1993 at the Caribou Memorial Hospital. He was born July 23, 1909 at Soda Springs the son of Albert Franklin and Laura Mable Dyke Moore.

During his youth he lived in Bailey Creek. He was educated in Soda Springs. He married Elsie Marie Hopkins, Nov. 30, 1928 at Soda Springs. She passed away Feb. 5, 1938. He married Catharine Cross May 37, 1939 at Burley. He had worked for Anaconda Mining and the Caribou County Road & Bridge retiring in 1974. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, woodworking and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Catherine of Soda Springs, and Emma Jean Call, Rexburg; 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren, and two brothers and one sister, Stanley (Short) Moore, Warren G. Moore, and Martha Hopkins, all of Soda Springs.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Albert, Harold "Bill", and Eldon, a sister, Jewell Gates and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, May 25, at 1 p.m. at the Soda Springs LDS Stake Center with Bishop Blair Winward officiating. Burials was in the Fairview Cemetery.
