Mrs. Sarah Jane Denney, age 78 years, four months and nine days, died at the family home on South Main street Sunday morning, after an illness of some weeks. Deceased was the widow of the late Charles E. Denney of Griffin. She had been living in Monticello the past several years with her daughters.
She is survived by two daughters and three sons, Misses Nannie and Minnie Denney, and Messrs. Charles, Will and Dick Denney. She is also survived by three sisters and one brother, Mrs. J.C. Huffaker, Mrs. Charles Koger and Mrs. Burnett of Steubenville, and Sheriff G.E. Ryan.
Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. J.E. Baird at the Baptist Church Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock, after which burial was in Elk Spring Cemetery. Daughter of Wm. & Nancy Ryan
