Grace Shippy, 76, a lifelong resident of Branch County, died Friday, Nov. 5 [1982] at the Branch County Community Health Center in Coldwater after a short illness. Services for Miss Shippy will be held at the Oak Grove Cenetery [sic] Chapel at 1 p.m. Monday Nov. 8 [1982] with the Reverend Richard S. Byers officiating. Friends may call at the Gillespie Funeral Home until noon on Monday.
Miss Shippy, of 214 West Chicago Street, was born Dec. 25, 1905 to Eugene and Sarah (Kantz) Shippy in Bethel Township. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Dean (Vera) Byers of Coldwater, and 12 nieces and nephews. She was preceeded [sic] in death by two sisters.
