Christopher Hiram Petre 96, Hamilton, died Sunday, Nov. 22 at Cameron Memorial Hospital, Angola.
He was born January 22, 1896 in Steuben County to Jacob and Nellie Mercer Petre.
Mr. Petre was a farmer.
Surviving are one son, Burton of Hamilton,; seven daughters, Vivian Grady, Nellie Wineburnner, Pat Coffey and Bonnie Pinkham, all of Angola, Katheryn Alleshouse of Hamilton, Donna King of Pleasant Lake and Jane Hawkins of Edon, Ohio; 35 grandchildren; 78 great-grandchildren and 33 great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Hannah in 1959.
Funeral services were Tuesday, November 24, at Klink Funeral Home, Angola, with the Rev. Todd Hudson officiating. Burial was in South Scott Cemetery.
