Veronica Sharrod wrote, "As for Eddie and Mabel I know hardly anything and I can only remember meeting them a couple of times as a very young child. I do remember grandma saying that she wouldn't have Mabel in the house. I'd never met Tony who must have been from a previous marriage so I was surprised to find him on Nuneaton Memories as they'd lived in Leicester as far as I'm aware. It could have been because Mabel was a divorcee and grandma was a very staunch catholic lady, so so must've frowned upon her son Eddie marrying her, or even worse still they may have been 'living together' at first maybe."

Note OSBORNE Ernest Edwin Lawrence, passed peacefully away on January 6th, 2009. Eddie, aged 85 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Mabel and a loving dad, grandad and great grandad. A service of Thanksgiving for Eddies life will be held at the Newbold Verdon Baptist Chapel on Wednesday, January 21st at 1.30pm followed by the committal at Newbold Verdon Cemetery.
