Veronica Sharrod wrote, "As for Eddie and Mabel I know hardly anything and I can only remember meeting them a couple of times as a very young child. I do remember grandma saying that she wouldn't have Mabel in the house. I'd never met Tony who must have been from a previous marriage so I was surprised to find him on Nuneaton Memories as they'd lived in Leicester as far as I'm aware. It could have been because Mabel was a divorcee and grandma was a very staunch catholic lady, so so must've frowned upon her son Eddie marrying her, or even worse still they may have been 'living together' at first maybe."
