He was born January 26, 1929, in Dallas, Texas to Allison and Sarah Rodgers Madewell. Mr. Madewell served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ruth; and daughter, Sherri Madewell. He is survived by a grandson, Jason Benton; granddaughter, April Benton; and five great-grandchildren.
