Willis Hughey Hardy

Memorial rites for Willis H. Hardy, 68 were held Saturday, August 18, 1962 in the Primitive Baptist Church (Perryton). Elder Hugh Tate and Wilce Jones of Dell, Oklahoma, officiated.

Internment in the Ochiltree Cemetery was directed by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home. Serving as Pallbearers were Jimmy Gipson, Bryon Schwalk, Kenny Schwalk, Joe Sardello, Lee Creech and John Andy Wagner.

Mr. Hardy, an Ochiltree County resident since 1952, died at his home sixteen miles South of Perryton at 3:35 P.M., Wednesday, August 15, 1962. He was born November 18, 1893, in Eldorado, Illinois. He was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church of Perryton.

Surviving are his wife, Mittie R. Hardy of Perryton, three sons, John Hardy and Ernest Hardy both of Perryton, and Ben Hardy of Amariool, four daughters, Mrs. Ellis (Ruby) Matthews and Mrs. Clyde (Esther Elaine) Herrington both of Perryton, Mrs. R.E. (Lucille) Matthews of Dalhart, and Mrs. Don (Navis) Tucker of Salt Lake City, one brother Herman hardy of Perryton; his father, J.B. Hardy, Perryton; 29 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
