Virginia B. Norsworthy, 82, of Lincoln died Friday, Feb. 19 at her home. Virginia was born Jan. 9, 1934 in Benkelman to Jacob and Mary (Hines) Bauer.
She graduated from Benkelman High School and the University of Nebraska where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority.
On Aug. 19, 1955 she married James (Jim) Norsworthy.
Virginia was an outstanding teacher and taught in Lexington, Gothenburg, Max, and Waverly. She finished her career teaching at the Lincoln School of Commerce.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents Jake and Mary Bauer, brother Dale, sister Betty and much loved son Doug.
Virginia is survived by her husband, James; son, Matt; daughter-in-law, Davi Ann; grandson, Noel Douglas; nieces Kathy Samuelson, Susan Reober, Beth Kohl-morgan, Chris Collier, Annie Pursley, and Julie Ott.
