From 1969 to 1971 Phoebe was employed by the Hinsdale Hospital as an activity therapist, serving psychiatric acute care patients. When her daughter began high school, Phoebe worked from 1984 to 1987 as an Activity Support Service prt time, serving children with special needs. From 199987 to 2015 Phoebe worked for Carol Stream schools as a School Social Worker with cooperative Association for Special Education serving public school children primarily in early childhood and elementary grades.

Education

Phoebe attended the Univ of Iowa from 1963 to 1967. She joined the Iowa Highlanders and was one of the sword dancers. In 1987 Phoebe obtained a Master of Science in Social Work, a three year part time program.

Hobby

Horses have been her passion since she was very little. When she turned 12 (1957), her Mom & Dad told her she could have a horse. with the help of John Pletcher she purchased a Palomino named Drifter, and stabled him in a barn just one block from the house. Phoebe rode with the Donnellson Saddle Club, and was queen of the Ft. Madison Rodeo parade about 1963.
